Privacy Policy

Snip-Z ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website snip-z.com and the Snip-Z AI video creation platform (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding it.
Snip-Z acts as an intermediary platform. We connect your account to third-party AI services (ElevenLabs, HeyGen) and publishing platforms (YouTube). We do not independently process, store, or sell your video or audio content — that is handled directly by those third-party providers under their own privacy policies.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you register, we collect your email address, display name, and content niche preference. This is stored securely in our database (Supabase).
YouTube OAuth Tokens
When you connect your YouTube channel, Google provides us with an OAuth access token and refresh token. We store these tokens in encrypted form solely to upload videos to your YouTube channel on your behalf. We do not use these tokens for any other purpose.
Your use of YouTube via Snip-Z is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke Snip-Z's access to your YouTube account at any time via Google Security Settings.
Usage & Schedule Data
We store your publishing schedule, selected voice/avatar preferences, and video pipeline status (topics, script metadata, video URLs). We do not store raw audio or video files — these are stored and served directly by ElevenLabs and HeyGen.
Payment Information
Payments are processed entirely by Stripe. We never see, store, or have access to your card number, bank details, or any raw payment data. Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.
Automatically Collected Data
We may collect basic server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security, debugging, and service improvement. We do not use third-party analytics trackers.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To automate AI video creation on your behalf using your selected settings
- To upload finished videos to your connected YouTube channel
- To process subscription payments via Stripe
- To send transactional emails (account verification, billing receipts)
- To improve service reliability and fix technical issues
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
Snip-Z integrates with the following third-party service providers. When you use our platform, your content is processed by these services under their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for how these third parties collect, store, or use your data.
ElevenLabs
AI voice synthesis — converts your scripts into audio voiceovers
Your script text is sent to ElevenLabs to generate audio. ElevenLabs may process and store this data per their own policy.
HeyGen
AI avatar video generation — renders video using AI avatars
Your script and audio are sent to HeyGen to render avatar videos. HeyGen processes and temporarily stores this content per their own policy.
YouTube / Google
Video publishing platform — uploads finished videos to your channel
Snip-Z uses YouTube API Services. By connecting your YouTube account, you agree to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Stripe
Payment processing — handles all subscription billing
Snip-Z never stores payment card data. All billing is handled directly and securely by Stripe.
Supabase
Database and file storage — stores your account data and generated file URLs
Your account information, OAuth tokens, schedule settings, and video metadata are stored in Supabase-hosted databases on infrastructure in your selected region.
Anthropic (Claude)
AI script and research generation
Your topic and niche inputs are sent to Anthropic's API to generate video scripts and research. Anthropic processes this data per their own policy.
4. Audio and Video Data
Snip-Z does not collect, store, or retain your audio or video files. All audio generation (ElevenLabs) and video rendering (HeyGen) occurs on those providers' infrastructure. We only receive and store the public URL of the finished video file.
We are not responsible for any audio or video data processed, stored, or retained by ElevenLabs or HeyGen. Please review their privacy policies for details on their data retention and deletion practices.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently delete your profile, schedule, OAuth tokens, and video records from our database within 30 days. Note that data processed by third-party services (ElevenLabs, HeyGen, Stripe) is subject to their own retention policies.
6. Your Rights
- Access & Portability — You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — You can update your profile information directly in Settings.
- Deletion — You can delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete my account.
- Revoke YouTube access — You can disconnect your YouTube channel at any time from Google Security Settings.

7. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure OAuth token storage, and role-based access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
Snip-Z is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at privacy@snip-z.com and we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
